Men's Rugby

Since 1968, Iowa State Men’s Rugby has built a tradition of success on and off the field. Conference titles, National tournament qualifications, and USA Rugby Academic All-Americans are just a few of the accolades that are held by former Cyclone teams and ruggers.

The Cyclones compete in the Heart of America conference, one of the premier conferences in D1-AA rugby, alongside Missouri, Kansas, Kansas State, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Iowa, and Truman State. The rapid growth of the sport at the collegiate level has made the conference even more competitive in recent years.

Practices are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5 p.m. at the recently renovated Southwest Athletic Complex (400 S Sheldon Ave, Ames, IA 50014). Matches are held on Saturdays throughout the Fall and Spring semesters and are always free to attend.
